I designed Filholi for a magazine submission, that was regrettably not selected. This pattern idea has then been on my mind for quite a while. For those of you following my YouTube channel, you’ve seen the twists and turns revolving around this sweater, while I was recording my designing process in a special vlog format. It is also a great collaboration story with Doriane from Maison Septembre, whose dyeing job is particularly interesting.
Filholi is a top-down sweater, with a lace yoke inspired by a unique Back Panther. The rest of this design is worked is stockinette stitch to give this garment a high contrast between the top and bottom parts. Puff sleeves are then added and end with a long-ribbed cuff.
